BART Directors Turn Down Plan to Allow Coffee on Trains

OAKL (BCN) -- A Bay Area Rapid Transit District staff report issued today threw cold water on Director Lynette Sweet's proposal to allow passengers to bring coffee onto the transit agency's trains, saying it would cost too much money and result in dirtier trains and stations.
